When talking about the patient experience, it’s important to remember that it’s often the little things we take for granted that can leave the biggest impression.

For instance, healthcare providers will often hand patients a bag to store their personal belongings. This is an efficient way to make sure nothing gets lost amid the flurry of activity in an ER or other patient admissions area. Little things like this can easily be overlooked. But if the patient feels vulnerable, embarrassed, etc., it can really color their entire experience.
